I would like to take the kids on a long weekend away, in August. Just the five of us.
The Problem:
Mini Arthur T refuses to take much time off, from the new shop.
Soooo....
Any suggestions for a 3 day trip, somewhere fun and different, which will amuse 1 ten year old boy and 2 little girls??
Secretly, I'd love to rent a cabin somewhere and trap all five of us together, for some serious bonding and alone time.

When you but something on the blog, it is no longer a secret....
if you want to trap your family, there are cabins for rent in southern illinois... i'm pretty sure the only thing to do around there is go to the wineries though, at least that's all i know there is to do
Starved Rock has cabins too, I think, but I heard they're a little "rustic". Nothing says family togetherness like digging a hole for pooping!
