Big Jumbo Joe.

(He's so pretty!)

I have officially been around long enough, to watch a Nephew grow from a little grade school boy to a grown man.  Crazy!  I've loved him through all his cute little boy phases:
Tiny Faced Glasses Joe.
Weird Long Haired Redbird Rowdies Tshirt Joe.
New Jeans Every 2 Months from Growth Spurt Joe.
State Track Tshirt Joe.
Touchdown Joe aka Homecoming Parade Joe.
Getting Your License and Repeatedly Stalking Past our Home Until we Got Tired of Waving Back Joe.
And now,
Senior Year Grown Man One More TD for the Road Joe.
I have so much faith in you.  Unfortunately, you've inherited more than your pretty face from your mother... you seemed to have gotten her 'crazy mind blowing makin no sense inability to see how special you really are'. On this your 18th Birthday, I wish you only one thing:
To see yourself.  And not the reflection of yourself in others.  You are bigger, better and more capable than you realize.  Look within: find your passion, your joy. Live for yourself!  Love life and JUST HAVE FUN.
Because one day...
you'll turn 37 and you'll be all like, "What the BLEEP just happened??!" And that won't be pretty..
Love ya, Kid.
From your cheering section in the cheap seats.

My Love...

Happy Birthday
to my love, my friend, my wife and my partner.

It feel like it was just yesterday when it was only the "O3" watching movies all the time and wasting away our Mondays.  Now, things are a little different.  With a family of five, those lazy days are far and few between.  The Kid is in everything, from Scholastic bowl to sports, he is smart, athletic, handsome, and working on being a little funnier.  Tink is growing like crazy, maybe not physically, but mentally.  She is getting lots of friends, taking up piano, and is excited to start basketball and softball, and she is funny.  Then there is Coco, the real handful, full of energy, smart, bright and very spunky.

What I want to say is, I am amazed by watching you with our children.  They brighten up when you are around them.  You celebrate their individuality (I think that's a word).  They love to talk to you as much as you do to them.  Even though they have such different personalities, you love each of them even more for that.

For your birthday, I wish for you: love, a love that matches the love you give.  Friendship, friendship that matches the friendship you give.  Health, the good health you deserve.  Happiness, happiness that can only be had by surrounding yourself with the all the friends and family, that love you as much as you love them.

I also want to thank you for creating this wonderfull life for our family to share.
Happy Birthday!
IT'S STILL STUPID!

Tomorrow is my Birthday,

which historically means 3 things will happen:

A.) A surprising, plan-breaking, blizzard of nearly epic proportion will fall from the sky. (every year... every.)

2.) I'm just going to keep getting older. Which is good, they say.  But seriously, I just keep getting older...

3.) Coach will command control of 222 to compose his annual Birthday post. Which typically delivers the most traffic this blog receives all year.

I can hardly wait!

To My Sista and My Friend:

Happy Birthday!
And more importantly, Happy First Day of undoubtedly one of the best years of your life! As your friend, I had the honor of partaking in so many of the best and not so best days of the past several years.  After many long walks and frequent phone calls, I have cheered, listened, cursed and joked during good times and bad.
You are one of my dearest friends and I am beyond thrilled to see your smile.  Your real smile.  Your comfortable, effortless beautiful smile. There is nothing more amazing on you and your siblings, than your infectious light-up-the room smiles.
For your birthday, I pray you are gifted the following: Easy. Simple. Genuine and tru-ly Sitting next to a Fire Warm Happiness. May that gift envelope your many Big Events and quiet days, over the next year of life.  You Have Earned It.
And if you begin your New and Comfy Life in a different zip code, promise to never lose my number. Because I just really adore you.
Happy Shared Birthday weekend, my sista.
All my love.
